How do I cite an example essay?

We've got you covered! The bottom of all essay example pages includes a basic citation generator for APA, MLA, and Chicago style guides. Clicking the "Cite" button at the top of the essay page will direct you to the builder.

Please be aware that your generated citations may need additional edits for capitalization.

A note about citing Kibin content:

We encourage you to use the examples in our library to generate ideas and figure out how you want to shape your own paper. You won't need to cite a Kibin essay if you are simply using it to brainstorm, find other perspectives, and understand what's working well in a paper. If you plan to quote or paraphrase material from a Kibin essay example (that doesn't already come from another source, of course), you will need to provide a citation.

However, you should understand that Kibin's essay examples were written by students and should not be considered reference materials in most circumstances. Kibin does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of the essays in the library; essay content should not be construed as advice.
